A growth of large blood vessels in the skin that develop into red raised lumps not unlike strawberries. They can begin to disappear by the first birthday and will have gone by the time your child is 10 years old. While most of these marks will disappear by themselves, large, fast growing ones and those interfering with eyes, nose or mouth should be quickly assessed by your doctor.

These are small red marks that can appear on the eyelids, the forehead and on the nape of the neck. They are due to prominent blood capillaries in the skin and will disappear of their own accord within a year.

They can be confused with bruising, but are merely temporary accumulation of pigment under the skin. They are not harmful in any way and most fade within the first year.
