Imagine Your Dream Hot Tub Cover

Imagine Your Dream Hot Tub Cover:

We spend a lot of time searching the Internet for ideas that could make this world a better place. Or at least a more interesting place. Here is one of those. We noticed how this Canadian spa covers website makes a big deal out of offering blank hot tub covers. Why blank? Because other covers sport the logo of the manufacturer, and as the website so aptly puts it, “We know that you don’t want your backyard to be a billboard for a spa-cover or jacuzzi-cover manufacturer.” Works on a car, not on a hot tub cover.

But if you nix the “billboard”, isn’t there something better to do with the newly open space? Glad you asked. Indeed, here are a few fantasy hot tub cover ideas (see if you can come up with more of your own and add them to the comments below).

Here’s an easy one for the do-it-yourselfer – graffiti! For that much sought-after “post urban decay look”. The great thing about this is that it costs so little, because anyone – even you – can do it right at home. The hooligans down the street could even do it (and they could even do it to your spa cover without feeling compelled to get your approval). And to your garage door. And to your welcome mat. And to your poodle.

A polar bear. This is the ideal design for Canada, in fact. The polar bear is a symbol of strength, able to rip human flesh from the bone in just a few seconds flat, one of the strongest animals in the world. And the polar bear is a symbol of being able to survive Canada’s cold Arctic climate. What red-blooded and numb-fingered Canadian doesn’t fancy himself to be the very image of strength and endurance in the face of a cold Canadian winter’s deep freeze? Especially while relaxing in the comforting bubbles of a backyard hot tub?

Mario and Luigi. Your favourite video game hero could come to life right on your hot tub cover. This is the ideal design for gamers and geeks who know better than to bring electrical devices into their hot tubs with them, yet don’t ever want to be parted from their idols. If your hot tub is round, you might as well make it Pacman. He’ll fit just perfectly. You can check out the various colours and shapes of hot tub covers to see which one fits your hot tub.

“Plant” a flower garden on your hot tub cover. This might just be the best idea of all, because it can blend in so well with the rest of your landscaping that you have worked so hard to maintain. In fact, there are some definite advantages to printing flower images on your hot tub cover:

1. You can have a seamless flower garden, where the hot tub blends in harmoniously without disturbing the natural flow of the garden.

2. You can “grow” species that would not normally survive in your climate…especially in the harsh climate of Canada.

3. It’s very colourful.

4. It makes great camouflage. “Hot tub? What hot tub? I don’t see any hot tub – do you see a hot tub?”

Why not make the art you print on your hot tub cover from art? You could print one of the world’s two most famous paintings – the Mona Lisa and the Sistine Chapel. Or you might choose a work by a famous Canadian artist. There are so many to choose from:

Tom Thompson

Jean-Paul Riopelle

Lawren Harris

Cornelius Krieghoff

Emily Carr

J.E.H. MacDonald

A.J. Casson

… just to name a few of the more famous ones. Imagine how shocked your friends will be when they discover you got culture.

Chocolates. Yummy. Imagine pictures of chocolate in all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of decorations. Milk chocolate. Dark chocolate. White chocolate. Chocolate with cream and nuts and jam and liqueurs and mints. And these chocolates won’t melt in the sun.

Finally, Poseidon. Ruler of the water. You might never own a palace. You might never rule an empire, but with his logo affixed to your hot tub cover, you have Poseidon’s thrown for a spa. Ruler over all the water in your backyard.

Those are just a few of our fantasy hot tub cover ideas. But first you’ll need a hot tub, and then you will need to build a spa cover ^(http://www.hottubcoverscanada.ca/our_covers.php). But isn’t it worth getting a hot tub and a cover just to create such marvellous works of art in your backyard? In fact, why not get a couple hot tubs. Or even three? Why not half a dozen? You might become world famous for The International Hot Tub Cover Art Gallery.

But we’ve only shared a few ideas with you. I am sure you can come up with some fascinating ideas of your own. Please share them with us. We are eager to hear what your fantast hot tub cover would look like.
